At the heart of our family policies is the Golden Rule. Treat your childcare provider the same way you’d like to be treated. Not only does this ensure they’ll want to come back, but it’s also essential to make sure your kiddos know that their sitter deserves to be treated with kindness.
Dream Nanny Rates:
If we work with you to find long-term care by a full-time or part-time (less than 30 hrs) nanny we will work with you to create a comprehensive benefits package. Please note that our Dream Nannies are not available for less than $20 (net) an hour. $25-$45 (net) an hour is competitive in NYC, commiserate with experience, qualifications and job duties.

Long-term nanny placement fees:
A one time fee of 15% of the nanny’s gross salary. $500 deposit to begin our search.

Here are a few additional suggestions for how to become your sitter or nanny’s dream family!
Meals:
If your sitter works for you during regular dinner hours for more than 3 hours, it’s strongly encouraged that you give them a $20 food budget (either by leaving cash, reimbursing them, or letting them order on your Seamless account). Regular dinner hours = any time after 5:30 pm.
True story: I once had a family offer me Vitamin Water for “dinner.” No, seriously. Don’t be that family.
Transportation in Bad Weather:
It’s encouraged that you provide cab fare during inclement weather like a blizzard or crazy sideways rainstorm. A good rule of thumb to use is if you wouldn’t want to schlep to the subway…your sitter shouldn’t have to either.
Our stance on Nanny cams:
In New York State, you’re not required to notify someone that you’re filming them. However, we suggest you let them know that you have cameras. Our thinking is that it’s better to pre-empt bad behavior than catch it after the fact. If a sitter knows she’s being filmed, she’s much more likely to avoid the actions you’re trying to catch.
