Finding long-term in-home childcare is a huge decision. You’re welcoming someone into your home, seeing you and your family up close and personal, and allowing another adult to have a major impact on your kiddos.

Dream Nanny is here to help you find the nanny of your dreams, build a healthy working relationship with them and provide you with the resources and support to be an employer the best nanny will be thrilled to work with! Continuity and consistency are crucial for children’s emotional development, self-confidence, and attachment.

Let’s build a Dream Team to give your kids the care they deserve!

A snapshot of our process:

Nanny Rates:

Our Dream Nannies are not available for less than $20 (net) per hour. $25-$45 (net) per hour is competitive in NYC.

Nanny Placement Fees:

Our placement fee is the industry standard 15% of the nanny’s gross yearly salary.

A deposit is required to secure our extensive search services, including an in-home meet & greet with your family.

Dream Nanny selection process:

We meet all potential applicants in-person after they have completed the International Nanny Association basic skills assesment with a score of 70% or higher.

All of our Dream Nannies have passed an extensive background check, have 5+ years childcare experience and have glowing referrences.

All of our Dream Nannies have CPR certification no less than 2 years old.

Many of our nannies have additional qualifications such as early childhood development, infant care specialist, and more!

Here’s how it works:

1) If you’re ready to find your Dream Nanny, simply fill out the application below.

2) We’ll reach out to schedule a short intro call.

If we’re a good fit to work together, here’s what comes next:

3) We send an invoice for a $500 deposit for us to begin the search along with a contract to lay out the terms of our work.

4) We’ll arrange an in-home visit with the entire family. This is one of the most impactful steps for us to find someone that’s a perfect fit for you, your household and most of all your kiddos.

5)  Then you sit back and we work our magic to find the Dream Nanny your family deserves

We’ll then create a job description and post it on our site, on top childcare search sites, and on various employment websites. We’ll tap into our extensive networks and do direct outreach to some of the best nannies in the city. (Yes, we will snag people off the playground if that’s what it takes to find your Dream Nanny!).

We hustle until we find you someone amazing!!  Once an applicant passes our rigorous interview process we will present you with a handful of top candidate for you to review.  You pick your favorites and we take care of scheduling the interviews with you.

We suggest doing a few trials with your top candidates (trials should always be paid).

Once you’re ready to make your Dream Nanny an offer we’ll work with you to put together an offer package and contract and support both sides during the negotiation process.

We do more than find just candidates:

Once your Dream Nanny accepts the position this is another place where we work out magic!!

We’ll support you and your new nanny in talking through expectations, family norms and boundaries.

We have a cheat sheet of questions for you to talk through as a team. This allows you and your nanny to be aligned on the important stuff like scheduled days off, your kids favorite playmates, emergency contacts and more!

You will have 14 days from the nanny’s first day of work to do a trial. If at that point you decide not to move forward, we’ll continue the search without additional charge. Your nanny will be paid their regular wage by you during these 14 days, and for any other days, they work while we search for a permanent placement.

After your 14 day trial, if you’re continuing to work with the Dream Nanny we’ve placed with you, the remaining total of your balance will be due. Our placement fee is the industry standard 15% of the nanny’s gross yearly salary, less your deposit.

Final payment is due within 10 days of you receiving an invoice from us.
